A resident of Ventura County since 1989, Jesse attended the University of California at Santa Barbara,
where he enjoyed everything beach side living had to offer while still finding the time to earn a
double major in Philosophy and Law & Society. During his time as an undergraduate, Jesse was also
fortunate enough to spend a summer studying world economics and British foreign policy at Pembroke
College, Cambridge University, England.
Upon graduating from UCSB, Jesse commenced work as an associate with a land use planning and
development firm, where the value of a law degree became quickly apparent. A year later, he was
enrolled at the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu. Jesse graduated from Pepperdine
and was admitted to the California State Bar in December of 2003.
Following law school graduation, Jesse took an associate position with a law firm in Orange County
where his practice focused on estate planning, business law, entertainment law, and intellectual
property. However, with an eye on starting a family, and desiring to see his children raised in the
same safe, spacious, and beautiful environment he was, Jesse began to contemplate a return to Ventura
County. This return became a reality when the excellent opportunity emerged to join Ferguson Case
Orr Paterson LLP as an associate in November of 2004.
In his spare time, Jesse is an avid reader, a
proficient musician, and an enthusiastic golfer.
He also currently serves as the President of the Ventura County Barristers and as a volunteer at the Conejo Free Clinic. Jesse and his wife, Stephanie, an elementary school teacher, live with their daughter in Camarillo.
