Bret Anderson is a member of the Firm’s litigation practice group.  He currently represents clients in business and real estate matters.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Anderson practiced at a bankruptcy litigation firm in Westlake Village where he represented Creditors’ Committees and Disbursing Agents in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.  His work there also included negotiating with corporate debtors on behalf of creditors in developing reorganization plans.

Mr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in 2002. He earned his law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law in 2005. While in law school Mr. Anderson was actively involved with the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission’s Legal Aid Clinic and assisted the Director of Pepperdine’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Law in writing the article “Developments in Corporate Governance: The Duty of Good Faith and Its Impact on Director Conduct” which was published by the George Mason Law Review in 2006.

Mr. Anderson was a voluntary representative for his church in Uruguay for two years where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. 

He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2005 and is a member of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. 

He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, and is President of the East County Bar Association (Serving Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and Simi Valley of Ventura County).

When not at work he loves being outdoors and spending whatever time he can with his wife and sons.
